Terms of sale

These terms apply when you order from Terrain3D, operated by Terrain3D. Placing an order means you accept them.

Orders

An order is accepted when we take payment. We may decline or refund an order if we cannot source usable elevation data for the mountain, if the piece cannot be produced to our standard, or if the order looks fraudulent.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and may change at any time, but the price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Payment is taken in full when you order, since production begins on receipt.

Any sales tax due is calculated and shown at checkout. Import duties on international orders are the recipient's responsibility.

Production and delivery times

The 10 to 14 business day production window is an estimate based on our normal queue, not a guarantee. Delivery dates given by carriers are likewise estimates. We are not liable for delays outside our control, though we will always tell you when one happens.

What the models are

Each model is generated from publicly available digital elevation data rather than sculpted by hand, so the terrain is geographically accurate. Vertical scale is exaggerated slightly so the relief reads clearly at model size, which means heights are not to the same scale as horizontal distances.

These are decorative objects. They are not survey instruments and should not be relied on for navigation or route planning.

Because every piece is printed and finished by hand, small variations in surface texture and color between pieces are normal and are not defects.

Returns

Made-to-order pieces are not returnable for a change of mind. Damaged, wrong, and faulty items are covered — see the returns policy, which forms part of these terms.

Liability

Our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, United States. Questions go to hello@terrain-3d.com.
