How it is made
Every model starts as real elevation data. We take publicly available digital elevation models of the mountain, process the terrain in GIS software, and build the geometry from the actual topography. The north face, the summit plateau, and the tourist path all sit where they do in the real world, not where an artist decided they should go.
Britain's highest mountain, and a mountain of two halves: a broad walk-up from the west, and a cliff on the north face rising some 2,000 feet that holds among the best winter climbing anywhere. A relief model is the clearest way to show an asymmetry that photographs almost always miss.
The relief is printed in matte PLA and finished by hand, then mounted to a wood base. Choose a single-color finish for a clean, sculptural look, or a multi-color finish with colors mapped to elevation the way a topographic map reads.
